Miami Dolphins release cornerback Cortland Finnegan
The Miami Dolphins have released cornerback Cortland Finnegan, the team announced on Monday.
The nine-year veteran logged 33 solo tackles, nine deflected passes, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery for the Dolphins in 2014, his only year with the team.
Finnegan, a former seventh-round draft pick in 2006, previously played two seasons with the St. Louis Rams and six seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

The Dolphins signed Finnegan to a two-year, $11 million contract in March 2014.
