The Tennessee Titans will release safety Bernard Pollard, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
After last season, Pollard reportedly asked Titans general manager Ruston Webster to release him from the two-year deal he signed with the Titans in March 2014.
Pollard, 30, is scheduled to make $3.1 million next season.
[daily_cut.NFL]Pollard played in five games for the Titans last season before he injured his Achilles on Oct. 5 and was out for the year. In those five games, Pollard had 27 combined tackles and one sack.
Pollard was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2006 NFL draft.
