The Miami Dolphins have re-signed offensive tackle Jason Fox to a two-year, $2.5 million deal, the team announced Thursday.
The five-year veteran finished his first season with the Dolphins in 2014, starting the final two games at right tackle.
Fox played last season for the veteran’s minimum on a one-year contract after he spent his first four seasons as a backup with the Detroit Lions.
Fox was a fourth-round pick by the Lions in 2010 out of the University of Miami, where he was a first-team all-ACC player in 2009 after making 47 starts at left tackle in four seasons.
In four years with Detroit, Fox appeared in only 13 games and started three, all in 2013.
