Falcons sign special teams player Eric Weems to two-year deal
The Atlanta Falcons have signed wide receiver and special teams player Eric Weems to a new two-year contract, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Falcons signed Weems last August for a second stint with the team. He signed with Atlanta as an undrafted free agent in 2007 and spent the first five years of his career there before signing with the Chicago Bears.

Weems led the Falcons with 13 special teams tackles last season, and also recovered two fumbles. He also added 102 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns on 10 catches.
The 29-year-old was named to the Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro in 2010 while in Atlanta.
The Falcons finished 6-10 last season and did not make the playoffs.
