Report: Free-agent guard Mike Iupati plans to sign with Cardinals
Free-agent guard Mike Iupati has told people he plans to sign with the Arizona Cardinals, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Iupati, 28 in May, has played all five of his NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He has appeared in 16 games three times and played in 15 last season. Iupati is also a three-time Pro Bowler (2012-14) and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2012.

The 49ers selected Iupati 17th overall in the 2010 draft. He made a $2.9 million base salary last season with a $4.6 million cap hit, the last of his rookie contract.
The Cardinals lost one of their free agents to the 49ers last week when San Francisco signed defensive end Darnell Dockett to a two-year deal.

The Cardinals finished 11-5 last season, their best record since 1975. Arizona also made the postseason for the first time since 2009.
