Report: Cowboys sign Darren McFadden to two-year deal
The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a two-year deal with running back Darren McFadden, Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The Cowboys lost running back DeMarco Murray to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. Murray led the NFL with 1,845 rushing yards last season and signed a five-year, $42 million deal with the Eagles.
McFadden, 27, was the No. 4 pick in the 2008 draft by the Oakland Raiders. Last season, he had 534 rushing yards, 212 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

In seven seasons in Oakland, McFadden had 4,427 yards, 1,769 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns. His only 1,000-yard season came in 2010, when he rushed for 1,157 yards.
During this offseason, the Cowboys have used the franchise tag on wide receiver Dez Bryant, signed fullback Jed Collins and signed right tackle Doug Free.
