Ravens sign defensive end Chris Canty after cutting him in cap move
The Baltimore Ravens re-signed defensive end Chris Canty just two weeks after releasing him, the team announced.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but ESPN.com’s Rich Cimini reports that Canty will receive $4.65 million on a two-year deal

Canty, 32, was cut on Feb. 27 and the team created $2.66 million in cap space with the move.
“Just to have an opportunity to be back with a great organization and work with some really great people, I’m thrilled,” Canty said. “They wanted me back, and I wanted to be back, so it just made sense.”

Canty has spent the past two seasons with the Ravens. starting 24 of 26 games, recording 63 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Last season, Canty started 11 games and recorded 33 total tackles.
In 10 NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Baltimore, Canty has recorded 21.5 sacks and five forced fumbles.
