Peterson made the revelation in an interview with The Arizona Republic and said that the diabetes effected his play early last season.

“Yeah, it did," Peterson said. "I'd rather not go into deep detail about that. It was a situation that occurred during the season. The team docs found it and got it all under wraps."
Peterson made his fourth Pro Bowl last season after recording 50 total tackles, three interceptions and one sack.
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians acknowledged during the NFL scouting combine in February that Peterson had a blood sugar problem.
Peterson said the Cardinals' medical staff figured out what his problem was and got it under control.

“No question it made a big difference and once they found out what the problem was, they put their hands around the throat, wrangled it and we moved forward from it,” he said.
“I am a diabetic. Let's just keep it that way,” Peterson added.
