Agent: Jets signing RB Stevan Ridley to one-year contract
Former New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley is signing with the New York Jets, Ridley's agent, Andy Simms, told the Associated Press.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported the news earlier Wednesday.
The deal is for one year. No salary figures have been disclosed.
"He's excited for the opportunity and his rehab is going strong at this point," said Simms.
Ridley made a scheduled visit with the Jets earlier on Wednesday. He also had visited with Miami and Washington, ProFootballTalk reported.

Ridley, 26, tore his ACL last October during the Patriots game against the Buffalo Bills. The then-fourth-year player out of LSU had rushed for 340 yards and two touchdowns during the first six games of New England's 2014 campaign.
Ridley will aim to help the Jets bounce back from a 4-12 season in 2014. He compete for time at running back with Chris Ivory and Chris Johnson.
Johnson was shot last month in Florida, but is in stable condition.
