Report: Packers to retire Brett Favre's number on Thanksgiving
The Packers will retire Brett Favre's No. 4 on Thanksgiving night, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein reports.
Favre played for the Packers from 1992 to 2007, leading them to a Super Bowl victory in 1997. He reached nine Pro Bowls and won three MVP awards in Green Bay and holds franchise records in games played, pass attempts, completions, passing yards and touchdown passes.

Favre holds the NFL record for passing yards with 71,838 and is second all-time in touchdown passes with 508.
The quarterback left the Packers in 2008 after a tumultuous multi-year period during which he weighed retirement. He played for the Jets and Vikings before finally retiring following the 2010 season.
Favre will be inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame on July 18.
