• San Francisco 49ers defensive end Aldon Smithwas arrested Friday morning by the Santa Clara County, Calif. police department for hit and run, DUI and vandalism.
• Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to only miss 1-2 weeks, after spraining the AC joint in his right shoulder in practice.
• Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman could be sidelined ‘a bit’ after suffering a hamstring injury, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Freeman was the team's fourth round pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
• Injured New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is reportedly rehabbing in South Florida. Pierre-Paul is recovering from hand and finger injuries after having his right index finger amputated as a result of a Fourth of July weekend fireworks accident.
