It didn't take long for Detroit Lions rookie running back Ameer Abdullah to leave his mark on a NFL playing field.
Abdullah took his first career carry 24 yards to the house, bursting through a huge hole up the middle and executing a move that had San Diego Chargers safety Jimmy Wilson spinning in circles.
The score gave the Lions an early 7–0 lead on the road.
Abdullah rushed for over 5,278 yards during his four-year college career at Nebraska. He was taken by the Lions in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft.
