Squaring off against No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston, Mariota, the No. 2 pick, threw his first professional touchdown to Kendall Wright in the first quarter. 

The score came on the Titans first drive with Wright running a long way on the 52-yard hookup.

The Titans jumped out to a 14–0 lead thanks to the pass and a pick-six of Winston.
