Watch: Chiefs’ Eric Berry returns to Arrowhead after lymphoma battle
Chiefs safety Eric Berry returned to Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night for his first regular-season game since overcoming Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Berry, 26, is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and was a 2013 first-team All-Pro. In December, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His last game before the diagnosis came Nov. 20 against the Raiders; afterward, he reported feeling pains in his chest.
Berry completed his treatments in late May and was cleared to return to practice in late July.
In Kansas City’s Week 1 win over the Texans in Houston, Berry played 48 of the Chiefs’ 77 defensive snaps as he works toward regaining his starting safety spot.

Set to begin his fifth NFL season, Berry was the last Chiefs player to come out of the tunnel for introductions before Thursday night’s game against the Broncos.
