Texans offensive lineman Jeff Adams has a torn patellar tendon in his right knee, reports Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle. The injury likely means the end to Adams’s season.
Adams was carted off of the field during the second quarter of the Texans’s 24–17 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Trainers placed an air cast on his right leg to immediately immobilize his knee.
This is Adams’s second season with the Texans. He started the first two games of the 2015 season.
The Texans are set to take on the Buccaneers at home on Sunday.
