Colts CB Vontae Davis leaves game vs. Jets with concussion, does not return

Colts cornerback Vontae Davis left Monday night’s game against the Jets in the second quarter to go through the league’s concussion protocol and did not return.
Davis was taken to the locker room after colliding with Jets running back Bilal Powell late in the second quarter.
The NFL’s concussion protocol requires Davis to be cleared to return by an independent neurologist.
Davis had been tasked with covering Jets receiver Brandon Marshall. Earlier in the game, he tipped a pass intended for Marshall, allowing Mike Davis to come up with an interception.
The Vontae Davis tip was nice.

But that Mike Adams tippy-toe pick was insane!

With Davis out, the Colts are left with just three healthy cornerbacks, as Greg Toler and Darius Butler were inactive for the game due to injury. The Colts lost to the Jets 20-7 to fall to 0-2 on the season.
