Report: Colts QB Andrew Luck expected to play Thursday vs. Texans
The Indianapolis Colts expect quarterback Andrew Luck to be ready to play on Thursday vs. the Houston Texans, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Luck missed a game for the first time in his NFL career on Sunday with bruising in his throwing shoulder. The team does not see the injury as something that will be long term.
Veteran Matt Hasselbeck filled in during Luck’s absence, going 30 for 47 with 282 yards and one touchdown in the team’s 16–13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Luck has struggled so far this season, completing just 56% of his passes and throwing seven interception through three games.
Luck also hasn’t had much help from the running game. Starting running back Frank Gore, who came to the Colts as a free agent from the San Francisco 49ers during the offseason, is averaging just 56.8 yards per game.
