Report: Odell Beckham Jr. fined after allegedly throwing punches vs. Bills
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been fined roughly $9,000 after several Buffalo Bills players claim he took some cheap shots during Sunday's game, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.
The Buffalo Newsreported that several Bills players said Beckham threw multiple punches after plays were over during the Giants’ 24–10 victory. Players called him a “prima donna” and a “golden boy,” and accused him of getting away with different unsportsmanlike acts.
Linebacker Preston Brown said he retaliated on a fourth-quarter play because Beckham goaded him into it and threw the first punch. A few plays later, Beckham hit safety Duke Williams in the helmet after an interception. Williams said that Beckham was talking trash on every play, and Brown accused the Giants as a team of throwing cheap shots and trying to draw flags.
The NFL is expected to announce the fine on Friday. Beckham was not penalized on the play.
"Obviously I was disappointed because I think he's beyond and above a lot of that stuff,” head coach Tom Coughlin said on Wednesday. - Christopher Chavez
