Watch: Devonta Freeman touchdown overturned in Atlanta
Devonta Freeman looked like he caught a touchdown, but referees overturned the catch.
It’s still unclear what constitutes a catch in the NFL.
Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is the latest victim of the NFL’s rule book. Freeman caught a pass at the four-yard line, took two steps and dove forward, extending the ball over the goal line for what looked to be a touchdown against the Redskins.
The ball came out when Freeman hit the ground, however, and after review, the touchdown was overturned into an incomplete pass.
Freeman would score later on the drive.
