Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle left Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with a back strain and is doubtful to return, according to multiplereports.

Randle left the game in the first quarter after sustaining the injury during the Cowboys’ first drive of the game. Randle was initially listed as probable to return, but did not come out with the rest of the team after halftime.

Randle ran the ball twice for 24 yards before leaving the game. Darren McFadden took over the primary running back duties after Randle’s injury.

Randle entered Sunday with 74 carries for 291 yards and four touchdowns. The Giants led the Cowboys midway through the third quarter.
