Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill set the NFL record with 25 consecutive completions in Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.
The record included Tannehill’s 18-straight completions he had against the Texans, in addition to seven from Week 6’s game against the Tennessee Titans. The quarterback’s streak ended two plays after he set the record, as tight end Dion Sims was unable to catch an intended pass.
The previous record was held by Donovan McNabb when completed 24 passes in a row with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004.
Miami won the game 44–26 and Tannehill finished 18-for-19 with 282 yards and four touchdowns. It was Miami’s second straight victory under interim head coach Dan Campbell.
