Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (illness) active vs. Lions
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (illness) is active for Sunday’s game against the Lions after being downgraded to questionable on Saturday.
Peterson vomited after the Vikings’ flight to Detroit after accidentally swallowing his chewing tobacco, according to the FOX broadcast. After the game, Peterson attributed his illness to shrimp he ate Saturday.
The nine-year veteran was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to a finger injury, but practiced in full on Friday before having his status downgraded.
He leads the Vikings in rushing with 432 yards and three touchdowns on 101 carries.
Peterson missed 15 games last season due to a suspension for his child abuse incident. In the previous three seasons, Peterson missed six games total.
