Jets kicker Nick Folk out four to six weeks with quad injury
New York Jets kicker Nick Folk will miss four to six weeks with a quad injury, head coach Todd Bowles told reporters Monday.
Bowles added he isn’t ruling out the possibility of putting Folk on IR.
Folk injured his quad during warmups on Sunday, telling reporters after the game that he “felt a little pop.” Punter Ryan Quigley handled the placekicking duties in New York’s win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with Folk as the holder.
The Jets reportedly worked out four veteran kickers on Monday: Billy Cundiff, Garrett Hartley, Kyle Brindza and Randy Bullock.
Quigley was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra point attempts and did not attempt a field goal. He also handled the kickoff duties.
Folk has never missed a game due to injury in his nine NFL seasons. He has made 13 of his 16 field goal attempts this season.
