Peyton Manning has rib cage injury, listed as probable
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs with a rib cage injury.
The nature of the injury is unclear. Manning is expected to play, but the team’s disclosure of the injury marks the latest in a series of ailing body parts for the veteran quarterback. Manning was listed all week with a foot injury and had a right shoulder issue last week.
The 39-year-old has thrown for 2,145 yards, nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions this season while leading Denver to a 7–1 record. He is three yards from breaking Brett Favre’s record for all-time regular season passing yards, and one win away from breaking Favre’s mark for career wins by a quarterback.
Denver hosts Kansas City at 4:05 p.m. ET Sunday.
