Patriots receiver Aaron Dobson carted off with ankle injury

Patriots receiver Aaron Dobson left Monday night’s game against the Bills with an ankle injury.

Patriots receiver Aaron Dobson was carted off the field with an ankle injury in Monday night’s game against the Bills and is questionable to return, the team announced.

Dobson’s injury left the Patriots with just four receivers, including Matthew Slater, who is primarily a special teams player. Dobson started the game in place of the injured Julian Edelman, who had surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot. 

The Patriots added Dobson to the injury report before the game with a back injury.

Dobson was targeted twice in the game and had one catch for 17 yards before he was injured in the second quarter.
