Report: Cowboys QB Tony Romo out for season with collarbone injury
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo left Thursday’s game against the Carolina Panthers with a left clavicle injury.
ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that initial x-rays were inconclusive, but the quarterback is “done for the season.”
Romo was sacked at the end of the third quarter, landing hard on his left shoulder. Trainers attended to Romo on the field, who was laying down for a couple minutes before walking off, favoring his left arm. He was immediately taken to the locker room for X-rays, according to the game broadcast.
Romo missed seven games earlier this season due to a broken left clavicle. The Cowboys went 0–7 in the games Romo missed. He returned last week in a 24–14 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Romo said the injury was “similar feeling” to a broken clavicle, but the team will not be sure until he undergoes further testing on Monday, reports Mark Maske of the Washington Post.
