Peyton Manning to start rehab as cast removed, remains in boot
Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak says quarterback Peyton Manning is able to start rehab as his cast was removed but he remains in a boot, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
“We're totally committed to getting (Manning) back...Nothing has changed,” Kubiak told reporters on Wednesday.
There is still no timeline for the 39-year-old's return from a partially torn left plantar fascia that he sustained against the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 8 and re-aggravated the following week against the Chiefs.
Manning met with Dr. Robert Anderson in North Carolina last week and was recommended to wear a cast on his foot for a week.
• Fantasy Fact or Fiction: Broncos' run game a force to be reckoned with
The Broncos are 2–0 under replacement quarterback Brock Osweiler, who has completed 57 of 93 passes for four touchdowns and two interceptions this season.
