Report: Bears’ Saunders suspended 10 games for substance violation
Bears practice squad receiver Jalen Saunders has reportedly been suspended 10 games for a substance violation.
Bears practice squad receiver Jalen Saunders been suspended 10 games for a violation of the league’s substance abuse policy, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
Saunders has not appeared in a game this season for the Bears and was suspended four games last month for an undisclosed violation of league policy.
His suspension moves from four to 10 games, which may indicate a repeat violation.
Saunders was a fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma last season by the New York Jets, but was cut and spent time with four teams before joining the Bears. He has one career catch, as a member of the Saints in 2014, and has returned 15 kicks for 125 yards with the Saints and Jets.
