Chicago Bears coach John Fox called a surprise onside kick to start the second half against the Vikings, and it was successful.
Kicker Robbie Gould lightly tapped the ball to roll it forward 10 yards, and Sherrick McManis was standing right there to secure it before the Vikings could recover.
The ensuing drive didn’t last long, as quarterback Jay Cutler lost a fumble, and the Vikings later scored to go ahead 24–7.
