Broncos QB Brock Osweiler to start Week 17 despite sore elbow
Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler will start the team’s regular-season finale against the San Diego Chargers, despite banging up his left elbow near the end Denver’s 20–17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday.
Osweiler suffered the minor injury to his non-throwing elbow, but did not leave the game and is not expected to miss any time.
He came into the game suffering from a sore shoulder, also on his non-throwing side.
After the game, Osweiler said that his physical status is the same as any player this late in the season.
“Coming out of the game, I’m a little bit banged up, but that’s football,” he said. ”Everybody in that locker room, Week 16, is banged up. I’m no special case. Everybody has got their bumps and bruises, and I’ll be good to go come next week.”

The big question in Denver has been whether or not quarterback Peyton Manning would win back his starting job once healthy from a foot injury. Head coach Gary Kubiak said after the game that nothing has changed with Osweiler’s status as the starter.
