Josh Freeman to start for Colts on Sunday
Josh Freeman will start at quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, the team announced on Sunday morning.
The Colts signed Freeman and Ryan Lindley this week after injuries to signalcallers Andrew Luck, Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst.
Luck is still recovering from a lacerated kidney and a partially torn abdominal muscle, while Hasselbeck and Whitehurst were both knocked out of last week’s win over the Dolphins with different injuries.
The Colts can steal a playoff spot today, but it’ll take a win, coupled with losses by the Browns, Chargers, Saints, Jets, Patriots and Chiefs.

Freeman was selected in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and hasn’t taken a snap since 2013. He was a member of the Dolphins’ practice squad this year.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted on NFL Insiders that the Colts may give Lindley a shot during the game as well.
Kickoff between the Colts and Titans is set for 1 p.m. ET.
