Tampa Bay Buccaneers fullback Jorvorskie Lane left Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers after sustaining a gruesome ankle injury.
At the conclusion of a short run by Doug Martin, Lane was still blocking a defender when center Joe Hawley crashed into his right leg and drove it into the ground.
Lane was on the field for a considerable amount of time, and was carted off.

Lane is a third-year fullback out of Texas A&M. He is in his second season with Tampa Bay after coming over from Miami.
