Police records show New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones went to police with a medical emergency early Sunday morning, according to the Boston Herald.

Dispatch records obtained by the Herald show Jones was rushed to the hospital after he arrived at the Foxboro police department at around 7:42 a.m. ET seeking help and was taken to Norwood Hospital around 20 minutes later. Officials would not say what the emergency was, and some information was deleted from the records before they were released.

The Foxboro police chief denied to the Herald earlier Tuesday any involvement or interaction between Jones and his department, and said no police report was filed for the incident.

A source toldThe Boston Globe on Wednesday, however, that Jones simply had a bad reaction to “a substance” he put into his body, and that it was not related to a drug overdose.

Jones practiced on Monday and Tuesday. The Patriots face the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs on Saturday.
