Watch: Patriots fail to score on two-point conversion attempt
The Patriots could not convert a two-point attempt in the fourth quarter to tie the game.
A missed extra point came back to haunt the Patriots.
After Stephen Gostkowski missed a point-after kick in the first quarter of the AFC Championship Game, New England needed a two-point conversion to tie the game late in the fourth. The Patriots could not convert after a Tom Brady pass was tipped in the air by Aqib Talib and intercepted by Bradley Roby.
Denver won 20–18 after the failed two-point attempt.
