Emotional Larry Fitzgerald fights back tears, thanks fans after loss
An emotional Larry Fitzgerald addressed the media after Sunday’s NFC Championship Game loss to the Carolina Panthers and fought back tears.
‘It hurts to lose like this in this fashion,” Fitzgerald said. “I love my teammates. They fought all year through adversity through ups and downs. We’re proud to be here, but obviously we didn’t want it to end this way. We just didn’t have it today, and that really stings”
The Cardinals wideout entered the game with just one dropped pass in the past two seasons and had two drops in the loss.
When he was done with his media session, Fitzgerald thanked Cardinals fans for their support during the season.
In two games this postseason, Fitzgerald caught 12 passes for 206 yards, and scored the game-winning touchdown against the Packers in the divisional round.
