Jacksonville Jaguars unveil design plans for stadium renovation
Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan and president Mark Lamping revealed the design for renovations to EverBank Field at the team’s annual State of the Franchise on Friday.
“This project and these facilities will allow us all to imagine new possibilities for events and entertainment in downtown and in the Sports Complex area,” Lamping said. “We want to attract fans of football, concerts, the arts and many other interests to a new entertainment venue that Jacksonville has not had before.”
The goal is to "transform EverBank field and the surrounding area into on of the most unique and multifaceted entertainment destinations in North America.”
The design includes the addition of a 5,000 seat amphitheater and renovations to the stadium’s clubs.
The Jaguars finished 5–11 in 2015.
