With the Denver Broncos leading the Carolina Panthers 13–7 after two quarters in Super Bowl 50, Coldplay opened the halftime show at Levi’s Stadium with a three-song set.
Following the band’s performance of “Viva La Vida,” “Paradise” and “Adventure of a Lifetime,” Bruno Mars took the stage for a rendition of “Uptown Funk.”
The main event came when Beyoncé stepped on the field for “Formation,” and then joined in on a dance off with Bruno Mars, giving way to Coldplay and a video tribute of previous halftime shows.
The show ended with a collaboration of “Up&Up” by the three performers before play between the Broncos and Panthers resumed in the third quarter.
