Falcons coach Bryan Cox to apologize for pushing Cardinals scout
Atlanta Falcons defensive line coach Bryan Cox will apologize for pushing an Arizona Cardinals scout during rookie interviews at the combine, reports Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
The Falcons were reportedly interviewing a player when their time ran out and a scout from the Cardinals came to escort the player to his team’s interview room. Cox then became angry at the scout, at one point pushing him.
Although the incident did not escalate any further, Cox said Sunday that he would talk to the scout about his actions.
“I intend to apologize to the young man for the incident that happened last night during the interview process,” Cox said. “It shouldn’t have happened.”
