Phil Simms of The Experts Network believes that Memphis Tigers quarterback Paxton Lynch should be selected early in the upcoming NFL Draft.
“What is there not to like?” Simms said of Lynch.
Cris Collinsworth argued that he has not seen enough of Lynch in order to determine whether or not the quarterback would be successful in the NFL, but Simms disagreed.
“When I judge Paxton Lynch let me just say this to you, I don’t care that he didn’t throw it far down the field a lot. I’m not judging the coach from Memphis, I’m not judging their system, his teammates, I’m just judging him,” Simms said. “And when I see him make all the throws, throwing it outside, moving, the size, the plays that he can make, this is highlight reel stuff.”

Over the course of three seasons with the Tigers, Lynch threw for 8863 yards, 59 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. Memphis completed the 2015 season with a record of 9–4 with Lynch throwing for 3776 yards, 28 touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Burke predicts that Lynch will be selected in the first round of the draft by the New York Jets.
