Five Ohio State Buckeyes were selected in the first 20 picks of the 2016 NFL draft.
The Chargers took defensive end Joey Bosa at No. 3, and the Cowboys selected running back Ezekiel Elliott immediately afterward at No. 4.
At No. 10, the Giants drafted cornerback Eli Apple, and at No. 16, the Lions took offensive tackle Taylor Decker.
Linebacker Darron Lee went No. 20 to the Jets, making it five.
Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes made out well: having three players taken in the top ten is a rare feat, also accomplished by Oklahoma in 2010, when Sam Bradford (No. 1), Gerald McCoy (No. 3) and Trent Williams (No. 4) all went in the top five.
More Buckeyes could be on the way.
