The NFL owners are considering making changes to which plays can be reviewed during games, according toUSA Today.
Currently, the rule is written to explain which kinds of plays are reviewable, with everything else considered ineligible. The new new rule would be the opposite, only judging which play are explicitly non-reviewable.
The rule change would potentially allow a number of plays that aren’t currently covered by the rule to be reviewed.
Currently, there are eight plays that can’t be reviewed, including penalties.
Coaches on each team would still be limited to two challenges a game under the new rule.
The rule change will need to be approved by 24 owners to go into effect.
