Panthers’ Shaq Thompson involved in collision with ex-Duke QB
Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson was involved in a traffic accident on Sunday morning, the team confirmed Monday.
Thompson was charged with driving left of center after colliding with former Duke quarterback Anthony Boone, reports Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review. Thompson’s car collided with Boone’s car head-on, according to the report.
Alcohol was involved, but not the reason for the crash, police told Pro Football Talk.
“Shaq informed us he was involved in a traffic accident and we are in the process of gathering more information,” Panthers spokesman Ryan Anderson told PFT.
