Jaguars linebacker Dan Skuta has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery in Orlando, Fla.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of June 19 when Skuta approached a woman and asked her for her phone number, according to the police report. She refused, leading to a verbal altercation. Police say Skuta pushed her face into a glass window that was behind her.
The police officer that arrested Skuta noted the smell of alcohol on his breath and glossy eyes on the linebacker.
“The Jaguars are aware of the situation involving linebacker Dan Skuta and are currently gathering more information,” the team said in a statement. “The team has been in constant communication with Dan through this process in its entirety. No further comment can be made at this time.”
