Washington Redskins linebacker Junior Galette will miss the entire 2016-17 season with a torn Achilles that will require season-ending surgery, according to NFL media's Rand Getlin.
Galette missed the 2015 season with a torn Achilles. The new injury is not related to the previous torn Achilles tendon in his left leg but Galette tore the right Achilles, according to ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio. He has not played since he recorded 22 sacks in 2013 and 2014 with the New Orleans Saints.
“Haven't felt so good best shape of my life and this happens to me now Idk what else to so when does da rain stop,” Galette wrote on Twitter with a video.

Preston Smith is expected to fill in for Galette in the starting line up. The Redskins signed Galette to a one-year deal before the 2015 season but he suffered a season-ending injury before playing a snap. He signed another one-year contract in March.
