Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi (bone bruise) misses practice
Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi missed practice on Monday with what he called a bone bruise.
Ajayi suffered the injury to his left knee on Sunday, noticing swelling later in the day during team meetings.
The 23-year-old said that he is not worried about the injury and will be able to return once the swelling is gone.
“It was just a bone bruise. Just some swelling in there right now. Just got to ice it down,” Ajay said via the Sun-Sentinel. “Once the swelling goes down, I'll be fine.”
Isaiah Pead handled the majority of the first team reps on Monday in Ajayi’s absence.

Ajayi, who was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 draft by the Dolphins out of Boise State, has had a history of knee issues.
In nine games as a rookie, Ajayi carried the ball 49 times for 187 yards and a touchdown.
