Report: Ravens sign kick returner Devin Hester
The Baltimore Ravens have signed kick returner Devin Hester to a one-year deal, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Hester worked out for the Ravens twice this week and has passed a physical.
The 33-year-old is arguably the best return man ever, holding the NFL record for punt return touchdowns (14) and combined return touchdowns (20). Hester was cut by the Atlanta Falcons on July 26 after spending two seasons with the team.
He just played in five games last season, averaging 4.3 yards on eight punt returns.
Hester has been named an All-Pro four times during his career, last earning the honor in 2011 as a member of the Chicago Bears. He earned his most recent trip to the Pro Bowl in 2014.
The Ravens cut former Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds to make room for Hester.
