Bears sign guard Josh Sitton to three-year deal

Guard Josh Sitton signs with the Chicago Bears after his release from the Green Bay Packers.

Guard Josh Sitton has signed a three-year deal with the Chicago Bears, the team announced.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter the contract is worth $21.75 million, including $10 million guaranteed with the Chicago Bears. The deal was first reported by Alex Marvez of Sporting News.

Sitton was released by the Green Bay Packers earlier in the week. Sitton has not missed a game since 2011 and was named to the second-team All-Pro in three consecutive seasons running.

Sitton was headed into the last year of his five-year, $33.75 million deal that was signed after 2011.

Earlier in the day, the Bears released kicker Robbie Gould.
