In 2015, Nelson’s preseason ACL tear was the impetus for the waking nightmare the Packers stumbled through for most of the season. Not only did the loss of his favorite target leave reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers swimming upstream for four months, but there was a domino effect with a receiving corps that lacks a second receiver who can beat man coverage with any regularity. Nelson is back, and early signs point to him being the same receiver he was before the knee injury. The Packers need him to be just that.
