During last year’s three-team race to Los Angeles, longtime loyal league partner Dean Spanos was clearly the sentimental choice of many owners—until he wasn’t. The room shifted from Spanos toward the revenue-producing opportunities of the Shangri-La that Stan Kroenke is building for the Rams. Now Spanos hopes for a solution in San Diego from a November 8th ballot measure for public funding. Spanos and the Chargers’ uncertain future in San Diego is an NFL storyline for yet another year.
