Chargers RB Danny Woodhead out for season with torn ACL
San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead sustained a torn ACL on Sunday and will miss the remainder of the season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Woodhead was injured on the third play of the game and was carted to the locker room. He previously missed most of the 2014 season with a broken ankle. He underwent an MRI on Monday that showed the torn ACL.
Woodhead is coming off a season in which he collected 80 receptions, which was tied with Theo Riddick for the most by a running back. He finished last season with 755 receiving yards to lead all running backs.

The Chargers are already without wide receiver Stevie Johnson, who tore his meniscus and will miss the season as well. Wide-out Keenan Allen also tore his ACL in Week 1.
